Eastern Electrics is finally among us this weekend, and it features an array of must see artists and DJs.
Featuring all your underground house and techno faves, Eastern Electrics is this weekend’s must see-event.
Situated in Morden Park, the festival’s lineup is packed to the brim with DJs, artists and urban acts, who will perform over a whopping 7 stages. For the first time ever, the festival is split up into two days, with Saturday (headlined by Jamie Jones) being more for house & techno lovers, whilst Sunday (headlined by David Rodigan and special guests Kurupt FM) is up the alley of bass, grime, reggae and garage lovers.
With such a diverse range of music set to be on show, Eastern Electrics is truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Here are 5 MUST SEE acts over the course of the weekend.
Hailing from Ukraine, the techno DJ/producer/label boss has won over the hearts of many, thanks to her never say die attitude, and her exemplary DJ skills. Arguably one of the biggest techno DJs out of Europe, Nastia (which is derived from her real name, Anastasia Topolskaia) has been a mainstay in the game since 2005, whether if that is through her DJing, her radio show on Kiss FM Ukraine, or her being a boss of her own label, Propaganda Records.
Expect a set full of energy and a dazzling array of house and techno’s finest. Catch her on the edible stage on Saturday.
One of the pioneers of London’s prominent drill music scene, 67 are a definite must see this weekend. After performing at Wireless Festival earlier this summer, they are sure to shell down their set once again, and will be performing on the Rinse FM stage on Sunday.
One of London’s rising stars is none other than this man right here, Suspect. His unorthodox style has gained him various plaudits, and his name on the lineup would have added a ‘wow’ factor for many fans looking to buy tickets. Suspect will also be performing on the Rinse FM stage on Sunday, and will undoubtedly shut down the show.
Tiffany Calver is rapidly becoming one of the UK’s biggest DJs, and it is thoroughly deserved. After becoming the youngest radio host on KISS FM, and the first female hip hop DJ to have her own national show, it is safe to say she has achieved a bucket load. With her in depth knowledge of both UK and US hip hop scenes, she is set to shut down her set. Catch her on the TQD stage on Saturday.
One of the golden boys of London’s hip hop scene, AJ Tracey has been constantly referred to as one of the best MCs we have to offer. Whether its a grime beat, a hip hop beat, or even an afroswing beat, you know that AJ Tracey is going to kill it. Fans are in for a treat with his set, and can catch him on the Rinse FM stage on Sunday.
