Queer Bruk: The Platform That Seeks to Create A Safe Space For Queer Men Of Colour

Akeil Onwukwe-Adamson, Founder of Queer Bruk a safe space for queer men of colour to enjoy a night out. Akeil identified there that was an opportunity within the market, for queer men who wanted to enjoy the beats of Dancehall and Afrobeats at nightclubs; so decided to create this QB. Akeil wasted no time and currently plans an array events for the near future. He has successfully hosted 3 events so far, which were held in June, July and October.

The organisation does not only look to curate the best events for queen men of colour, but also seeks to create a movement which calls out the exclusion of Queer people in certain spaces. Elevating creatives from minority ethnic backgrounds is also close to Akeil’s heart, as he looks to work with DJs, artists and facilitators to curate impeccable Queer Bruk events in the future. The talented Artist @docsinistar currently curates event advertisement for the platform, as shown below.
