Welcome To Tottenham | A Guap Documentary

THE DOCUMENTARY

Welcome To Tottenham’ was filmed in Tottenham, North London in September. It follows eight visual artists on their journey to creating a piece of artwork for the welcome to Tottenham live project exhibition.

Located within the London borough of Haringey, Tottenham has been perceived as a notorious area & has been tainted due to it’s controversial past. The investment into the area due to the new Tottenham Hotspurs stadium has residents concerned that gentrification will dilute the cultural identity of Tottenham. The Welcome To Tottenham Live Project was created to showcase Tottenham through the eyes of creatives and paint a picture of Tottenham that reflects the character and aura of this cultural hub. Trying to change the perspective on the areas that we grew up in, the project marks a new glance at the area of Tottenham and North London.

The Documentary features , Charlotte Toone, Magdalene Lepri, Edward Shi Had Mac, Natalie Larbi, Ranae Kaira, Nathan Zengamambu , Mark Ferrar, Shyaam Caine, Kash, Kush, Kris Jay Paul Burnham and Gordan Peters.
