Style: @Converse Debuts The New Converse Aukland Modern Collection

Converse have switched it up a bit by revealing their all-new Converse Auckland Modern collection, inspired by their partnerships with elite athletes and coaches during the 1970s and ’80s. The limited-edition collection serves as the latest release from Converse and HTM, which represents the collaboration between fragment design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara, Nike Vice President of Creative Concepts Tinker Hatfield, and NIKE, Inc. President & CEO Mark Parker.

Arriving in four colorways, Black/Soar, Black/White, Black/Lucid Green, Black/Action Red and Black/Dark Grey, the Auckland Modern employs Nike Hyperfuse technology, ensuring maximum durability and support. Though the shoe’s lightweight construction is the main focus of the model, its cushioning also allows for added flexibility, enhancing mobility during performance use. Its upper features a split knit construction, with a white Phylon outsole and grooved undersoles for even more comfort. Black tonal flat laces and a mid-ankle height round out the performance-based design.

The limited-edition Converse Auckland Modern sneaker collection is available July 21 at Converse retail stores, online, and select global retailers. Take a closer look up top in the gallery now.
