Meet Jeremiah Asiamah your new favourite DJ, who will have you screaming ‘BOUSAGE’.
At only 19 years old, Jeremiah Asiamah is one of London’s finest upcoming DJ’s with an ear for music.
Kick starting his career as a DJ in his bedroom, Jeremiah relentlessly watched Youtube videos 1-3 hours a day to learn the skill whilst being influenced by DJ Pauly D from Jersey Shore in which at the time for him meant he could attain girls and money. (Which he quickly realised was not the reality) From learning to DJ, he joined South London based radio station, Reprezent Radio during year 11 and quickly became a prominent presenter on the station presenting a drive time slot today, Monday’s 5-7pm.
With co-signs from the likes of Toddla T, Tinie Tempah and DJ Target, Jeremiah has managed to be featured on BBC1xtra and Capita Xtra and also fill in for Diplo and DJ at England’s biggest festival, Glastonbury .
Not to mention he also created his own club night, BOUSAGE which infuses House, Garage and Bashment into one dancefloor, catering for the masses. This has included Kenny Allstar and Jamie Rodigan on the line-up.
Read our chat below and find the tracklist to the mix.
What is your favourite track to spin during your DJ sets?
What should people expect from this mix?
Whinable, Skankbable, Groovyable Music. Also BOUSAGE Vibes which consists of House, Garage & Bashment just wherever the music takes us we shall go.
What do you want people to remember you for when you are old and grey?
Somebody who turned their life around through faith & passion.
Who and what inspires you?
Everyone and everything
How did you get into djing?
I Used to watch DJ Pauly D on Jersey Shore and think it must be pretty easy playing music, having loads of girls, and going back to your little party island. (Forgetting that at the age of 10 or 11 years old … it’s all fake)
What is the best part of what you do?
Seeing people go crazy over a live mix.
What are your plans for world domination?
That’s a secret, but all I can say is just do you.
So what is BOUSAGE?
Whenever people go clubbing its mainly House, Garage in one room and Urban Music like Bashment in the other, I wanted to bring all these elements to one dance floor, one festival and bring all different cultures together.
Where can people find you on social media?
