Back with ‘Her’ audio and visual excellence, [@LittleSimz] with ‘Her (Interlude)’

Clean visuals, emotionally and self-aware lyrics – nothing short of the Little Simz gold standard.

In this latest video, we hear a self-reflective Little Simz . Touching on issues of love, industry issues, and not settling for being average. A mellow production paired with the intrinsically aware Simz makes this a track with great replay value. The visuals accompanying are simple and almost daze like. It shows a lonely Simz static and almost vulnerable, a change from her usual video style. But it is gorgeously shot and perfectly complements the vibe of the track itself.

Little Simz latest visual offering ‘Her’ is from last years excellent Stillness in Wonderland, which has features from Ghetts, Chip, and Bibi Bourelly to name a few. Simz is a great artist – not just a great rapper. Her talent has seen her receive co-signs from some of the greats both in the UK and across the pond from giants like Kendrick Lamar.

But still, it seems like Simz is slept on even though her catalogue of songs and projects are excellent. AGE 101: DROP X  encapsulates her sound but isn’t too long so it’s a good one to check out if you’re new to Simz. She has consistently shown why she calls herself a King and throws herself in the ring with the best of the best. This is an important characteristic and testament to her talent. She seems hyper-aware of gender politics in her field and never plays up to it. As such she never wants to be just “the best female rapper” and instead always strives to be the best period.
