The soulful Jerome Thomas is back with a brand new album, Mood Swings: Volume One.
The artist’s sound transcends several genres, constantly ebbing and flowing between Jazz, Nu-soul and R&B, which is a lot easier said than done; regularly, artists are falsely credited for the genre their music falls into, but with Jerome Thomas, we have a multi-talented act with a truly diverse sound.
This album is a living testament to this. In 9 short tracks, he manages to showcase a unique dynamism and versatility in his sound, which makes for a very broad listen. The accolades have already started to come his way, with him being tipped as one to watch out for in 2019 by BBC 1Xtra, but surely, this is just the beginning.
The tape includes two previously released singles, Bruises and Lovesick, topped off with 7 brand new tracks, which all form part of a cohesive project. And with a UK-wide tour set to kick off on 25th February, it’s only a matter of time until Jerome Thomas‘ name starts to reverberate around several UK circles.
