Nottingham’s Grime scene saviour, Snowy, has finally dropped his long-awaited EP ‘Callous‘. After releasing track number 3, ‘Lucy‘, as a single back in October, he gave us a taster of what we could expect in the EP. The 6 track project contains versatility in the sense of giving us a wide range of different instrumentals, using unique harmonies and instruments.
Snowy also puts across his East Midlands accent in his music quite a lot of the time which makes him stand out from underground Grime. Taking advantage of the ‘eh’ after saying certain words, he is able to use this to be a rebel and skatty with his flow.
Focusing on just himself, the project contains no features on it, highlighting his ability to do various styles and flows on different beats. This is something which Snowy isn’t new as his last project ‘Knots – EP‘ had only one feature on which also contained 6 tracks. I’m hoping to see more of Snowy in the new year – maybe a few more visuals and singles? I’ve got high hopes for the star; with more consistency and push he can secure the bag in 2019.
