‘Stay With Me’ is the first single from AKS‘ forthcoming sophomore EP ‘Train Of Thought’, which is due out on May 27, and it comes five years after his debut EP ‘The Bus Stop’ which was hailed as seminal, and championed by BBC 1Xtra, Hypetrak, Okayplayer, SoulCultureand the MOBO Awards among others, with co-signs from Roc Nation’s Young Guru, Mercury Prize winner Speech Debelle and So Solid Crew’s Swiss.

Described by AKS as a soulful homage to three important elements in his life – his wife, his listeners and his music, ‘Stay With Me’ was produced by DemDrums (PartyNextDoor, EA Games, Joe Grind) and features London soul vocalist Sincerely Wilson (Jamie Woon, Matthew Herbert), while its accompanying video was directed by Chas Appeti, who has previously directed visuals for Krept & Konan, Section Boyz, Maverick Sabre and Ghetts, to mention a few.

Following in the footsteps of AKS‘ previous soulful offerings ‘House Called Home‘ and ‘Truth Be Told‘, ‘Stay With Me’ is as reflective and personal as we’ve come to expect from AKS, and I think you’ll really like this track. It is backed by grand piano arrangements, heavy drums and lush bass guitar, over which AKS passionately answers the question on all our minds – if and how he fits into the current UK Hip-Hop landscape, after his time away.
