[@WeAreMicLowry] return with new single ‘Tesla’ featuring [@Diztortion]

R&B vocal group MiC Lowry are back with their new single ‘Tesla’.

‘Tesla’ features the groups signature and distinctive soulful harmonies which we’ve come to love and expect from the 5-piece. The track is an Afro swing production in collaboration with producer Diztortion, who has worked with the likes of Lethal Bizzle, MNEK, Chip and Tinie Tempah.

So far the group have toured with Justin Bieber and hit over 90 million streams across all platforms. The release of the track will see the boys head out on an 8-date European tour.

Their newest single came about when the boys were in the same studio as producer Diztortion  after hearing a beat that they loved, the boys decided to go in for a jam and by the end of the day, the single was completed.

Hailing from Liverpool, they formed back in 2012 under the guidance of youth arts training centre ‘Positive Impact’. They bonded over their love for vintage R&B pioneers such as Marvin Gaye and Boyz II Men, as well as the modern-day R&B figure heads Frank Ocean and Miguel.

Using YouTube as a platform, the group grew in popularity for their harmonic mash ups of popular songs. After going viral they soon found the right time to begin introducing themselves as a group. Achieving this through writing and recording their own original songs. Their debut EP ‘The Show’ peaked at #1 on the iTunes R&B chart.

The likes of Ella Mai, Little Mix, WSTRN, Krept & Konan have all expressed their support for group. As well as Radio 1Xtra’s DJ Target who described the five some as “The next big thing to come out of the UK”.  And they’ve also gained support from publications such as Billboard, Clash and Notion Magazine.

Catch them performing ‘Tesla’ and a selection of their other hits in shows across the U.K. this November as part of their Made in the 90s tour.
