Discover [@4FrontProject] empowering young people to live free from violence and aiming to provide a platform for authentic voices to be heard

The media has been in an uproar against knife crime recently in London as death rates have soared to high numbers, with the capital claiming around 49 young lives just this year.

And it has only has been 4 months since the start of the year. Let that sink in.

London is one of the richest capitals in the world yet the government found it necessary to reduce youth services and cut budgets that got the youth off the streets. Children as young as 13 are getting caught up and losing their lives to a complicated issue that is often carelessly blamed on ‘drill’ music when generally, the systematic conditions that cause and foster these conditions are brushed under the rug.

Luckily The 4Front Project sees to tackle these problems by educating communities and relating to young people as it is a youth-led social enterprise. It aims to reduce serious youth violence by empowering people to take control of their lives and by positively impacting their communities.

This team of young people helps families and communities affected by this violence and also empowers and inspires young people affected by it as well. They also make the law more accessible through their LegalEase programme by educating people on their rights and the law itself.
