Shoutout Network Festival: Celebrating Women in Podcasting, Audio, Broadcasting and Radio

Shoutout Network Festival: Celebrating Women in Podcasting, Audio, Broadcasting and Radio

ShoutOut Network is an inclusive podcast network based in South London. Established in 2014, the network was the catalyst for the huge surge in Black British podcasting with award-winning shows like Melanin Millennial and Mostly Lit.

ShoutOut Network grew rapidly and has become one of the leading voices on diversity within the audio and broadcast industry as well as creating physical space for creators from underrepresented backgrounds to come and create their podcasts for free.

In May 2019, ShoutOut hosted their annual podcast festival: exclusive to women. They founded the UK’s first and only women’s podcast festival in July 2018.

This year ShoutOut Network is pleased to announce the third annual ShoutOut Live Festival: Content is Queen Podcast Festival. This year’s theme focuses on developing the next generation of podcaster (#GenerationPodcast). Hosting some of the UK’s finest female voices, the festival will create a space to celebrate podcasting and its power to highlight the intersectional experiences of all women in the UK’s broadcasting industry.

This one-day festival will feature insightful talks, panel discussions and podcast accelerator workshops with award-winning producers and creators, Triple Cripples (Kym and Jay), Maeve McClenaghan, Kat Molesworth, Gabriella Watts, Sarah Golding to name a few. Network with fellow podcasters and listeners who share the same desire to be the next generation of content creators.

Shoutout Festival will showcase 9 podcast accelerator workshops, success stories from the top female podcasters, safe and inclusive spaces for women in broadcasting.
