The London born and bred R&B rising star, JGrrey is back with the drop of her new single ‘Pretty Insane’.

Following on from 2018’s glossy banger ‘All For You’, JGrrey is full of huge intentions for 2019. She started off with her new single ‘Pretty Insane’. And after her sensational Maida Vale session earlier this week, she has blessed us with the visuals. The video is a truly stunning, colourful and ethereal representation of the reflective single.

Directed by Harry Cauty and styled by Natalie Roar, the video was filmed in London. In the video we’re taken on a journey with JGrrey, experiencing the road to her live performances, as well as giving us an insight into her mind. Flitting between reality and hazy memories shot on a Super 8 camera, we’re introduced to two mysterious characters who will appear in the  ‘Notice’ video. ‘Notice’ is another on of her tracks expected to drop later this year.

Speaking on the visuals JGreey states: “I wanted to show how freely my mind wonders, how many times I’m unsure of whether something has happened or if it was a daydream, that fine line between a memory and a dream.”

Wednesday 20th March marks the date of JGerry’s first ever headline show at Hackney Creative Social Club. Tickets are on sale now.

The soulful singer rose to fame after posting a video of her singing online, which caught the attention of Manga Saint Hilare (Roll Deep). He took her into the studio with Nana Rogues, who is best known for their work with the likes of Drake and Skepta.

This resulted in a writing session with Lily Allen and a global campaign with Adidas and ASOS. Riding on a high, the future soul starlet found herself garnering support from many publications and a rapidly growing, loyal fan base.

The artist named herself after her favourite colour and the spelling came from the necessity to create a unique Instagram handle, shortly afterwards she quickly caught the music bug and went on to film her mesmerising Colors Berlin session in 2017, which propelled her artistry further into the limelight.

A true creator, visionary and artist, JGrrey writes music to vibe to. She’s an honest lyricist, taking on relatable topics such as moving away from home, troubled relationships and the universal presence of our inner child.
