Predominantly known as hip hop producer, DJ and composer; Skeptik’s list of projects is varied and impressive. Having opened for Childish Gambino, Wu Tang Clan and even The Libertines; his work also extends to Giggs, Mikill Pane, Scrufizzer, Lunar C and Sway. His contrast in projects certainly informs his own cross-genre album.

‘This Is Where It Gets Good’ encapsulates not only the sonic variety Skeptic can create – it also narrates much of Skepik’s life and personal battle with mental health. As well as vocal appearances from Kojey Radical, Trim, Takura, Caragh Campbell and the angelic-voiced Reader – it also includes soundbites from his personal recordings made during Skeptik’s touring around the world – from the nighttime noise of a rooftop in Jodhpur to a train ride through Japan – we as listeners feel like we too are complicit to the exciting journey that shaped the creative process of the album.
